The Indigenous 150+ Film & Conversation Series is excited to announce our first online screening event with a presentation of “The Incredible 25th Year of Mitzi Bearclaw” with a discussion and audience Q&A with filmmaker Shelley Niro.

The event will go live at 7:00pm, Thursday September 3rd, with a short introduction to the film by the filmmaker, and an artist talk and audience Q&A following the film which will be moderated by Coleen Rajotte (Founder, Winnipeg Aboriginal Film Festival).

The pandemic has affected the ability for independent filmmakers and distributors to get their films to audiences, and so we are proud to help share this film with audiences and continue our film and conversation series during this unprecedented time.

Ticket holders will be sent a special private screening link 2 hours in advance of the event, where you will be able to watch the live stream starting at 7:00 pm EST - both film and the post-screening conversation will be available via this one link. Audience members will be able to leave live comments and submit questions via the comment box.

We know people have busy schedules so we will also be making the film available for 48 hours before. An advance screening link will be sent to ticket holders 48 hours before the event.

For those who choose to watch the film in advance can join the post-screening conversation starting at 9:30 pm EST via the same day link.
