A new era of transit is here, as Voyago begins operating the City’s half-hour fixed-route and on-demand mobility transit services for City residents on August 27.

Voyago, which currently operates Guelph Owen Sound Transit (GOST), is a recognized leader in passenger transportation services known for delivering innovative, safe and reliable transportation.

The interim fleet of new, fully accessible buses will provide customers with a reliable, comfortable ride. A new technology that allows customers to see real-time bus locations along routes and predict when buses will arrive at any selected stop will be installed on the buses later this fall. Additionally, onboard automated stop announcements call out stops to customers riding the bus, which increases comfort and convenience while improving the overall accessibility for many using transit.

For mobility transit users, Voyago has established a new telephone number to book mobility transit rides, effective August 27, 2022. Voyago will begin booking mobility transit rides on Friday, August 26, 2022. To book a mobility transit ride, please call (519) 671-7168.

The permanent fleet of new low-floor, ramp-equipped buses are expected to arrive in the Spring of 2023 and will be equipped with bicycle racks in readiness for the summer season.
