Dear Sir
With respect, I must make the following comments on this budget:

As I have pointed out in previous responses to all parties in Canada's parliament, the absolute, most burning issue we are facing as a country, as opposed to 10 different provinces, is the murder of our most vulnerable seniors in Long-term Care, who have lost the ability to speak for them selves. I am, myself a senior who will be 92 next month, and extremely fortunate that I am still fully functional.

I have been pointing out the wilful neglect of seniors in some LTC Homes for longer than a decade. I have personally informed federal and provincial politicians, in power and in opposition, about the abysmal conditions residents in these mostly "for Profit" residences are living... but culminating in the Canadian Armed Forces Report, when they were called into some homes to help when covid became an issue.

Now back to your budget... the part I find unacceptable is the giving more LTC money to the provinces without any national and enforceable conditions ...in other words... business as usual.. make sure the investors in these "homes???" get their dividends, the seniors be damned.

While the rest of the budget might be reasonable under existing circumstances, the lack of action to attach national standards to the newly allocated LTC funds, makes your government complicit in the criminal neglect existing, as we speak, in these homes, to the point of being murderers.

This is a national emergency, and an international disgrace for our Great Country.

Myself, and all members of my family will actively work against your government in the upcoming elections unless you attach binding conditions to the new LTC dollars.

Sincerely and with Respect
Karl Braeker, Grey County
