The Grey Bruce County Health Coalition is working to support the Ontario Health Coalition’s campaign to stop the privatization of our hospitals. A citizen-led referendum will be conducted, province wide, on May 26 & 27. There will be polling stations throughout both counties with locations announced in leaflets distributed in the next few weeks.

An online Town hall will be held Thursday May 4 from 7 to 8.

The speakers at the Town Hall are: Natalie Mehra, Executive Director of the Ontario Health Coalition, Dr. M. McNamara of Midland, Mayor K. Craig of Kincardine. The focus will be to provide residents with the reasons for the vote and its damaging effects on public hospitals, especially our small, rural hospitals.

You will also hear what happens after the votes are counted. There will be an opportunity for questions and discussion.

Here is the link to register for the Town Hall

The link is also available on the Grey Bruce County Health Coalition facebook group.

We urge everyone to become informed about the escalating attack on our public health care and to vote on May 26 & 27 before we lose important public services.

For more information please go to to the group on facebook or contact one of the co-chairs at greybrucecountyhc@gmail.com
