The male was released on a Promise to Appear and Officer in Charge undertaking and within a few hours was found breaching both his probation and new release conditions.

The male was arrested and now faces an additional 6 criminal charges including 2 charges of assaulting police. Neither police officer sustained any injury. The male will be held for a bail hearing later today.

At approximately 2:30 Sunday morning members of Owen Sound Police Service were monitoring large groups of bar patrons in the downtown core. At this time officers observed a male approach 2 separate flower displays in the 800 block of 2nd Avenue East and begin to throw the contents onto the sidewalk. The male was quickly apprehended by officers and taken into custody.

An 18 year old Owen Sound man has been charged criminally with mischief and will be attending court in August to answer to the charge.
