TO MY SON OWEN REIMER WHO RESIDES IN OWEN SOUND, ONTARIO.
I still continue to think about you and I’m hopeful that one day you will reach out to me. When you were still a very young child you were moved away to another province to try to keep me from exercising my court ordered visitations with you. This was the start of many years of my struggles to find you and the start of my legal journey to re-establish visitation.
I have saved all the legal documentation over the years which demonstrates the fight to be able to be part of your life. I was hopeful that one day when you got older you would be curious, investigate, learn and discover the truth as to what really occurred, and know it was not for lack of trying on my part to be part of your life.
Not sure if you remember but the last attempt was when I flew to Owen Sound to pick you up as per court ordered visitation to spend Christmas with me. Unfortunately when I arrived to pick you up, it was sabotaged , and while the local authorities escorted me to assist in my picking you up, you had been told so many untruths and were so scared I could not in good conscience insist you fly home with me. The pain this was causing you (as well as me) was too much and I felt the only way to avoid causing further pain was to back away.
This decision has ripped me up over the years, however I prayed that one day when you got older you would be curious. Now that you are a young man, I am hopeful that you will reach out and be willing to investigate for yourself as to why I was not part of your life.
Please know that I have always, and will always love you .
Your father,
Robin Reimer, Abbotsford, BC
